A progressive and innovative Tech scale-up is looking to hire a Lead Cloud Architect with proven experience in IoT (Internet of Things), video streaming, and security technologies.
The main remit of the role is to play a pivotal part in architecting and developing the next wave of tech innovation for their market leading suite of connected products, leveraging the latest in IoT and security technologies.
This is a hybrid role with 3 days a week required in the office.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect a secure, scalable cloud infrastructure for real-time video streaming
- Implement advanced encryption and video data compression techniques to ensure maximum security and efficiency.
- Ensure seamless integration with customer-facing applications and websites, employing robust user-level access controls.
- Manage the selection of cloud platforms and tools, ensuring they align with our technical needs and business objectives.
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of embedded software engineers, cloud engineers, app developers, AI specialists, and security experts.
Skills
- Extensive experience in cloud architecture, particularly in the areas of IoT, video streaming, and security.
- Deep understanding of encryption, video data compression, and secure data transmission protocols.
- Proven track record in designing and deploying large-scale, resilient cloud solutions.
- Experience in leading and developing high-performing engineering teams, including remote team management.
- Strong project management skills, with a history of delivering complex technological projects efficiently.
- A passion for automotive technology and a drive to establish the UK as a leader in this domain.
