Start your job searchMarks Sattin are looking to recruit a Management Accountant on behalf of a highly acquisitive business based in Cheshire. They are looking for an experienced up and coming Part Qual with a go-getting attitude, drive and a passion for team work.
This is the perfect role for a commercially aware individual with a proven track record of working within a fast paced, challenging environment.
Duties:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts in line with group policy.
- Comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations, including accrued income, expense schedules, fixed asset reporting & intercompany balance reconciliation's.
- Using initiative to provide commentary regarding the analytical movement of the income statement.
- Comparing actual performance to budgets, providing variance analysis
- Cash flow reporting and forecasting, liaising closely with the Treasury department
- Assistance with the production of year-end statutory financial statements, liaising with Group finance
- Supporting the Assistant Financial Controller with one-off technical practical assignments
- Help mentor and coach junior members of the team
Person Spec:
- Part-Qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA
- Degree educated - 2.1 or above
- Minimum 3 years' experience in similar role
- Strong technical accounting skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
