The role is in place to provide an effective accounting service to the client's customers and suppliers in line with best practice and corporate objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as payroll, invoicing, and other transactions
- Oversee financial department employees, including financial assistants and accountants
- Operate daily accounting tasks
- Contract outside services for tax preparation, auditing, banking, investments, and other financial needs as necessary
- Track the company's financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement
- Seek out methods for minimizing financial risk to the company
- Review financial data and prepare monthly and annual reports
- Stay up to date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposes
- Deliver financial policies and procedures to employees from HQ overseas
- Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation
Key Skills and Requirements
- An accounts qualification (ACCA/CIMA) is desireable but not essential, would be open to a QBE candidate
- 3-4 years of management accounting experience would be desired
- Strong leadership skills
- Energetic
- High attention to detail
- Ability to adhere to tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills
- Strong negotiation and reconciliation skills
Excellent knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Excel and Word is desired but not essential.
