A market leading lifestyle services firm is looking to hire a Network and Infrastructure Engineer to join its growing team in London.
The main remit of the role is to develop and support the organisations network and information systems and ensure high service availability at all times across all national branches.
Responsibilities
- Comply with appropriate processes and practices to ensure the efficient and reliable operation of the company's technology
- Comply with all change control procedures to ensure changes are properly communicated and fully considered prior to implementation to minimise business disruption.
- Comply with documentation standards to ensure systems are fully documented.
- Ensure faults and problems are rapidly diagnosed and appropriate corrective actions completed to restore optimum
Experience Required
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant discipline or 5 years + of related experience
- Core network, including site-to-site connections, Internet connections, IIS, routers and load balancers, along with associated monitoring with PRTG.
- Data Centre management for Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery.
- Microsoft Server technologies - NTFS, AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO.
- Hyper-V and Failover Clustering.
- Internal LAN including switches - TCP/IP.
- Storage, including SANs and backup devices.
- Server infrastructure, hypervisors, virtual servers, remote desktop services and patch management.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent problem solving and IT systems design skills.
