Marks Sattin have being retained to recruit the role of a Financial Accountant on a 12 month contract, following past successes with the client.

The successful client will be working for a well renowned, highly reputable brand working within the retail/FMCG sector with multiple sites across the country.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain year end timetable for the wider finance team, ensuring all deadlines are met in time for the year end audit.
  • Preparation and compilation of the year end documents for the auditors
  • Complete relevant monthly balance sheet reconciliations and co-ordinate full balance sheet reconciliation across the wider finance team
  • Variance analysis of the P&L, rectifying discrepancies
  • Improving processes/finding efficiencies to streamline the day to day operations

Skills and experience

  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or QBE considered
  • Retail/FMCG sector experience preferred
  • Business partnering with other areas of the business desirable
