A demanding opportunity has arisen at a challenged PE-backed retailer who are currently seeking a CFO. The business requires hands-on, decisive leadership as it undergoes a fundamental transformation.

Key responsibilities as CFO will include but are not limited to:

  • Initially responsible for re-positioning the finance function as a central business function
  • Working closely with the board to guide turnaround strategy
  • Identify performance gaps and potential improvement opportunities
  • Coordinating stakeholder management with the PE-firm
  • Dealing with bank negotiations
  • Heading up debt reconstruction strategies
  • Managing the full finance teams through a period of change and development

The ideal candidate must have a proven track record in PE backed turnaround environments and strong experience leading mid to small size business restructuring. A consumer or goods-related background is preferable, as is experience in managing funds at a time of financial difficulty. Applicants should be qualified accountants, preferably chartered (ACA/ACCA/ACMA).

We are ideally seeking people who are able to start immediately or at short notice.

Please note that due to the high volume of applicants only successful candidates will be contacted with further information about this role.
