The business was established in 2014 as the platform for expanding the parent company into the UK Energy Market. They have grown rapidly in the UK having acquired 3 power generating assets between 2014 and 2017 and has recently agreed the acquisition of a further 2 assets in Ireland, with completion expected in the summer 2019.
It has a trading office and business development office in London and a centralised support office in Leeds. The parent company is an operations-orientated investor with a strong background in pursuing growth opportunities across the energy sector. With more than 50 companies across 6 countries, and 25,000 employees, they have established a solid track record of continued organic and acquisitive growth.
The group is looking for an enthusiastic individual with a strong knowledge of SAP technical problems and solutions, as well as an understanding of finance controls and processes.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, the role will primarily be based in the Leeds office with occasional travel to London and other sites as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as SAP Fi-Co lead for the carve out of the SAP system.
- Map and document business processes.
- Research, evaluate and recommend appropriate SAP solutions.
- Research, evaluate and recommend appropriate SAP solutions to improve SAP usability and business processes.
- Work with end users and continuous improvement teams to deliver projects.
- Act as SAP admin, running month end processes and closing periods.
- Create and update process and system documentation.
The post holder should be a qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified). It is imperative that you are comfortable working in a fast paced, ever changing and transformative business on a large scale.
