Marks Sattin are working exclusively partnering with a prestigious Retail & Distribution client in the North Birmingham area who have an impressive heritage in the UK. The requirement is for a Senior Finance Business Partner which is a newly created to support the growth of the business.

As a Senior Finance Business you will effectively be the Head of Business Partnering for the business, you will be managing two Qualified Accountants in a business facing role. 5 days a week, you will be out meeting your operations directors and business managers, helping them to improve the performance of their units. This is a truly commercial role. You will be working closely with the Sales & Marketing leadership team and Directors, providing lead support in ensuring there is maximum ROI and marketing/promotions and to ensure price points are competitive in relation to their competitors.

The ability to work with Excel, complex systems and huge amounts of data is a big pre-requisite for the role, as is the ability to communicate, challenge and drive actions forward.

Ideally;

  • You'll need to be professionally qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) and someone who loves being out in front of the business. Someone that likes to challenge assumptions, someone who likes to help people to improve their organisation.
  • Be a high achiever, you will have had solid career track record and you will demonstrate that you can drive business performance. You are likely to be working as a business facing finance analyst, a commercial accountant or already in a finance business partnering role.
  • Have worked in large organisations. Whilst this role is all about the way you engage with people, you still need to have worked in a complex environment and have good stakeholder management experience.
