The Role: Senior Legal Counsel

The Client: Fintech Challenger Bank

The Location: London, Leeds, or Manchester (hybrid)

We are working with a fast-growing UK Challenger Bank, backed by an established international financial group, who are looking to bring in a Senior Legal Counsel to join and take the lead on all legal matters. As part of the role, you will be managing a junior lawyer, so there will be some support internally (as well as external where necessary).

The business provide flexible lending solutions to ambitious UK businesses alongside innovative banking infrastructure for fintech's and financial institutions. With significant growth across the platform and ambitious plans for the future, this is an exciting time to join the business as they continue to scale their UK presence and develop the offering.

The successful candidate:

• 5+ years PQE England and Wales Qualified Lawyer
• A generalist with commercial contracts experience at the forefront
• Experience working in-house at a Challenger Bank, Retail Lending, SME Lending or Payments institutions is ideal
• Exposure to ex-co and board would be a massive plus
• Extremely personable who can and wants to work autonomously
