Marks Sattin are working with a growing national business in the Walsall area to recruit an assured Management Accountant. In this role you will act as the No2 in finance reporting directly to a Finance Director, who will mentor and coach you with the view of becoming a Financial Controller longer term.

This is a new role following some recent growth and further plans to expand. You will be leading and driving financial performance across the business and providing insightful and transparent information and support helping to drive decision-making across the business. The position requires the need to both challenge and support commercial and financial issues across the business. You will oversee financial planning and management accounting for the business as well as directly manage a small team. Duties include -

  • Provide support to the Finance Director and is the 'go to' Finance person in the absence of the FD
  • Management Accounts including variance analysis
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Management of banks accounts - multi-currency
  • Analysis of profitability and contracts
  • Statutory compliance

Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant - ACA, ACCA or CIMA
  • Excellent analytical and system skills - SAP would be a distinct advantage
  • Customer focussed with proven commercial acumen
