With only 150 members of staff spanning across London, Jersey and Luxembourg, they currently administer over £60bn of assets under management.
It is a business that grows organically through increased repeat business and referrals, and will pick and choose clients they know they can deliver the service their reputation holds.
Depositary is a niche role within fund administration, which has only came about in the past few years due to an EU law called AIFMD (Alternative Investment Fund Management Directive).
Depositary is a well-rounded role which has elements of Finance, compliance and regulatory reporting. Therefore, this role can open many doors to different career paths as it gives you a solid foundation of knowledge needed going into any of these sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the provision of depositary services to a growing portfolio of real estate and private equity fund clients, including:
- Assist with the on-boarding of new clients;
- Perform daily cash flow monitoring and carry out bank reconciliations;
- Perform the duties related to safekeeping and oversight;
- Participate in due diligence visits;
- Assist with the completion of routine ad-hoc client queries;
- Maintain accurate records and client files;
- Support the collection of due diligence;
- Ensure internal processes are followed and adhere with anti-money laundering and customer due diligence procedures; and
- Proactively liaise with client contacts, administrators and third party service providers.
