This Commercial Accountant role is the perfect step into the entrepreneurial world of Venture Capital. The client works with a variety of Tech, Media, Retail and Financial Services Firms across Europe and is a well established name in the industry.. The role will utilize your qualification that took you 3 years to train for and will also offer you commercial exposures and the opportunity to develop and learn.
Further to the day to day and month end activities you will be the chief liaison for the portfolio companies; you will have significant exposure to various directors in a multitude of different industries.
As the firm is relatively boutique, you will be part of a function containing 8 staff and will be reporting straight to the FD whilst also providing deal support to the Front Office team.
The structure of the firm is fluid, due to the exposure gained in the role you will be well equipped to progress in the finance function or even look at more forward looking roles within the Portfolio team, however the latter should not be your major motivation.
Culture is key with this Ven Cap firm, they are open on pre-requisites; Fund audit is preferred but not necessary, accounts prep experience from practice is also desirable but Big 4 audit will also hold you in good stead. The only must is being ACA/CA or equivalently Newly Qualified.
If you feel that you are ready to make the step out of practice and into the world of Venture Capital then please apply. Email: Thomas.wesseldine@markssattin.com JobREF: 166000
