Start your job searchMarks Sattin is currently working with a global business based in Central Reading who is currently recruiting for an Accounting Specialist on an initial 6 Month Contract basis with the view to be extended further. The role is paying up to £13 per hour plus holiday pay.
The role sits in a team of 8 Specialists in a lively & friendly working environment. The role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and allows for flexible working.
The duties include:
- Reconcile cash books to bank statements on a daily/weekly basis (multi-currency).
- Providing weekly cash forecasting to Treasury.
- Maintenance of fixed asset registers for a group of entities.
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliation for cashbooks and fixed assets.
- Vendor Maintenance for multiple entities.
- Other Ad-hoc duties as required.
The role would suit:
- A team player, keen to learn and enjoy a fast-paced environment.
- A can-do attitude along with some experience of working within a Financial position with some basic/good understanding of accounting concepts.
- Proficient in spreadsheet software and a competent user of MS Excel in addition to having experience within a multi-currency environment.
- Working knowledge & experience of Finance systems (ideally an ERP System) is required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
