Start your job searchA rapidly growing business within the utilities industry is seeking an Account Assistant to support the smooth running of the day-to-day finance function.
Roles and responsibilities:
- End-to-end ownership of the Accounts Receivable process
- Build and maintain relationships with clients to ensure timely payment and chase any overdue debts
- Analyse and present strategy to improve cash flow
- Provide cover for Purchase Ledger clerk during busy or absent periods
- Check invoices
- Balance sheet reconciliations and Bank reconciliations, resolving discrepancies in a timely manner
- Produce weekly payment run and present to Financial Controller for review
- Support where necessary on month end close process and posting journals
- Laise with auditors and assist in preparation of financial reports
The ideal candidate will be AAT or QBE with relevant work experience specifically in the accounts receivable function with excellent relationship building skills.
