Accounts Payable Clerk - £24-26,000 - Leading Fashion House - Central London - Huge career potential with study support
This rapidly expanding retail company based in Central London requires an experienced Accounts Payable clerk to join their busy team.
JOB PURPOSE:
Responsibility for the Accounts Payable Function administering Accounts Payable for a portfolio of supplier accounts across Europe for a number of entities.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Accounts payable invoices from receipt to payments
- Enforcement of accounts payable best practice across company, ensuring process compliance
- Receive and resolve a variety of routine internal and external enquiries concerning account status
- Supplier Statement Reconciliations
- Regular review and reporting of aged credit
- AP control account reconciliations
- Setting up new supplier accounts
- File approved invoices in a timely manner
- Adhoc support to finance team
PROFILE
Confident self starter who is able to work on own initiative and has good experience of the Accounts Payable process. Must have the ability to manage a large number of accounts effectively and efficiently. A keen interest in fashion could be beneficial.
EXPERIENCE / ACHIEVEMENTS
- Accounts Payable experience
- Good general accounting background
- Experience of working with multiple business units & currencies
- Good experience of Microsoft Excel and Word
- Experience of working in large global company
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE
- Ability to manage a large number of accounts effectively and efficiently
- Adaptable team player and ability to work on own initiative and under pressure
- Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise workload
- Attention to detail and good keyboard skills
