Our client in the wholesale fashion industry is looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their fast growing finance team in London. Reporting into the Financial Controller, this is a broad financial accounting position which will see you getting involved in a number of key areas across the finance function.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing, updating and reviewing all intercompany transitory accounts
• Assist with month end closing as well as balance sheet and P&L reviews
• Maintaining and positing of the general leger in particular areas, namely customer bonuses, expenses, and fixed assets
• Creation of intercompany service fee invoicing
• External tax reporting including VAT, OSS, ICP for UK and European entities
• Be involved in consistent process improvement initiatives and contributing to improved delivery
• Assist with system implementations
• Additional ad-hoc duties and requirements for other financial matters

The ideal candidate will be a part qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with relevant industry experience and an ability to work in a fast paced environment. The company are currently going through multiple systems implementations across the finance function so any experience in this area will be useful.
