The role of an Accounts Assistant will be to provide accounting, tax and administrative services to single person companies.
The main day to day roles will be:
- Dealing with individual clients day to day queries, managing the clusters email inbox.
- Ongoing communication with clients regarding queries on taxes, deductibility of expenses, dividends and other matters.
- Gradual involvement with clients regarding VAT and PAYE.
- Understand the weekly management accounts and be able to reconcile on request.
- Using the online expenses portal and knowing what expenses are allowable.
- Be able to communicate the agency processes to clients in relation to invoices and payments.
- Understand and be able to communicate HMRC deadlines to clients in relation to VAT/PAYE & Corporation Tax.
You will also be giving advice and ensuring management accounts are prepared to levels agreed with the client.
You will be reporting to the lead account and will be the first point of contact for clients and providing the customer with excellent customer service.
