Marks Sattin Executive Search is working with a successful PE Backed B2B Infrastructure Consultancy business based in Central London, in their search for a strategic and commercial CFO to drive the business through a period of growth and transformation, with the ultimate aim of a successful exit in the future.

Working in partnership with the CEO and senior management team, you will be a key player for the commercialisation of the finance function, via the overhaul and improvement of systems, driving efficiencies and financial processes to achieve optimised profit, margin improvement and work in progress. In this Multifaceted role where the CFO will oversee the commercial operations of the business providing valuable contributions to executive-level strategy by delivering detailed and insightful performance analysis, forecasting, and reporting.

Moreover, in your role as CFO you will actively cultivate and expand strong external relationships with banks, debtors, creditors, and other stakeholders through hands-on engagement.

The ideal candidate:

  • A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/ACMA), preferably Chartered with a demonstrated track record operating at board level and serving as a CFO, particularly in a transformation environment, ideally delivering successful growth and a sale process.
  • Background in a PE-Backed businesses within the,B2B, Tech solutions, Manufacturing , Industrial Services, Building Services , Construction, Facilities Management and/or related sectors is highly desirable
  • Track record of commercializing the finance function by overhauling systems, driving efficiencies, optimizing profits, improving margins, and managing work in progress.
  • Proven experience in overseeing day-to-day operational finance, and a genuine enthusiasm for contributing to both commercial and financial growth.
  • Proficiency in managing relationships with bank debtors and creditor.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Capable of collaborating with the executive team to steer the strategic trajectory of the business.
