The details

Marks Sattin Executive Search is working with a PE-backed multisite healthcare business to appoint a commercially astute and strategic CFO. This is a key leadership role, with responsibility for driving financial performance, supporting continued growth, and ultimately leading the business through a successful private equity exit.

Working closely with the CEO, Board and investors, the CFO will be instrumental in driving value creation, strengthening commercial performance and ensuring the business is well positioned for a future transaction.

The business operates within a complex stakeholder environment and maintains long-standing relationships with Local Authorities, NHS Trusts and other public sector commissioning bodies. The successful candidate will bring experience operating within regulated, publicly funded environments and be comfortable engaging with commissioners, regulators, lenders and investors.

As CFO, you will provide the financial and commercial leadership required to support the next phase of growth, strengthening financial controls, enhancing reporting and forecasting capabilities, and driving EBITDA performance, cash generation and operational efficiency across the business.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or ACMA).
  • Experience as a CFO or Finance Director experience within a PE-backed healthcare, social care, specialist education, supported living, children's services, or other outsourced public services business.
  • Proven private equity experience, including leading a business through a successful exit or playing a key role in an exit process.
  • Strong understanding of public sector funding models, commissioner relationships and regulatory requirements, with experience working alongside Local Authorities, NHS Trusts and other public sector bodies.
  • Commercially astute, with a track record of driving EBITDA growth, cash generation and operational improvement.
  • Credible leader with the ability to influence at Board level and build strong relationships with investors, lenders and external stakeholders.

Due to the high level of applications, we can only reply to those candidates with relevant experience.
