Commercial Finance Analyst
Our client in the fashion and retail industry is looking for a new Commercial Finance/ FP&A analyst to join their growing team in London. This is a newly created role due to growth, and will report into the Head of Commercial Finance - focusing on budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and business partnering.
Key responsibilities:
- Business partnering with divisions across the business to analyse and review business performance and contribute to decision making.
- Management and preparation of budgets and liaising with budget holders.
- Production of quarterly forecasts and presentation meetings for senior management
- Development of KPI reporting and analysis and contributing to forward planning process.
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end management reporting including performance reporting and analysis for senior leadership
- Analyse and manipulate financial data, to provide results to drive operational efficiency.
- Focus on continual improvement, recommending improvement strategies for data quality and reporting.
- Staying up to date with industry trends and news in the industry, including market and competitor analysis.
- Ad-hoc analysis, process improvement and project work to support the wider team and business.
The ideal candidate will be fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with experience working in a commercial finance/ analytical role. Candidates must be strong communicators, with the ability to work well with stakeholders at all levels and outside of finance. Ideally you will have strong business acumen, with the ability to influence and challenge, contributing to business planning and strategy and decision making. Experience working within the consumer market such as retail would be advantageous. Candidates must have strong Excel capabilities, with the ability to manipulate and analyse large data sets.
