Start your job searchOur client, a reputable FTSE listed organisation within easy reach of both Liverpool and Manchester are looking for an experienced Corporate Assurance Manager to join their Finance team.
Reporting to the Head of Risk and Assurance your primary responsibilities will be to manage the risk and assurance team to provide a risk management service to the Group.
More specifically the role is to:-
- Contribute to the selection process and management of co-sourced assurance providers
- Support and facilitate the Group risk management process including risk register refresh on a regular basis
- Development of the annual internal audit plan in conjunction with the Assurance Team Leader
- Manage the delivery of the corporate internal audit plan to time and budget including planning, fieldwork and reporting phases
- Regular follow up of recommendations for improvement made through reporting process
- Completion of fieldwork at international sites (biannually)
- Liaising with co-sourced assurance providers on a day to day basis
- Management of relevant budgets
- Supporting the timely and accurate reporting to the Head of Risk and Assurance for onward reporting to Board and Audit Committee
In order to be successful in the role you will be able to not only demonstrate a strong technical accounting background, ideally from an audit environment but also be passionate about developing people as the role will manage two Junior audit team members; so the ability to lead, coach and motivate is key.
