Are you an experienced Corporate Tax professional looking to join a leading independent accountancy and advisory firm where you'll enjoy genuine autonomy, a varied client portfolio and clear opportunities to progress?
We're working with a highly respected firm that is continuing to invest in its Tax Advisory team and is looking to appoint a Corporate Tax Manager to support its continued growth.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative national tax team, working with owner-managed businesses, large corporate groups and entrepreneurial clients across a wide range of sectors. The role offers an excellent balance of corporate tax compliance, advisory work and people management, making it ideal for someone looking to further develop both their technical and leadership skills.
The Role
As a Corporate Tax Manager, you will manage your own portfolio of clients while working closely with Partners and senior colleagues to deliver both compliance and advisory services. You will also play an important role in developing junior team members and supporting the continued growth of the tax department.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Managing a portfolio of corporate tax clients across a variety of sectors.
- Reviewing complex corporation tax computations and returns prepared by junior team members.
- Delivering high-quality corporate tax compliance services.
- Providing proactive tax planning and advisory support to clients.
- Acting as the main point of contact for client tax matters and building long-term relationships.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider business to deliver a joined-up service.
- Monitoring client work, recoverability and billing.
- Supporting the development and mentoring of Tax Assistants, Seniors and Assistant Managers.
- Delivering technical training and sharing knowledge across the team.
- Participating in recruitment activities, including graduate and experienced hire recruitment.
- Providing formal line management and performance support to junior colleagues.
- Keeping up to date with changes in corporate tax legislation and identifying opportunities to add value for clients.
Skills & Experience
- CTA qualified (or equivalent).
- Strong experience across corporate tax compliance with exposure to advisory work.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Commercially minded with strong organisational skills.
