As Covid-19 continue to alter the economic landscape with a genuine unknown future ahead both in the short and medium term, access to excellent Economic Modelling is now more key than ever.
Our client has seen to considerable increase in the demand for their services and are now keen to secure the services of an Economics Analysts to join their developing team here in Dublin.
Details of the role:
- Focus on conducting detailed economic impact assessments
- Develop cost benefit analysis and utilise economic modelling to build business case scenarios and assist in the development and evaluation of policy/
- Solve complex economic problems in a logical and structured manner
- Develop Economic Forecasts and assist in the development of economic strategy.
Experience:
- Experience of applying economic theory to the development and evaluation of public and regulatory policy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including an ability to explain complex technical issues to a non-technical audience
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within a team
- Experience of managing and delivering economics related projects to a very high standard
- Experience of working in a high performing team, engaging with senior stakeholders and managing staff to deliver on time, whilst maintaining quality
Important to Have
- A keen interest in economic issues on the island of Ireland
- A sectorial knowledge (agriculture, health, transport, energy, IT, real estate)
- Interest in identifying new and innovative solutions to complex problem solving
The ideal candidate will have gained at least 3 years Economic Analysis or Economic Research experience. You will demonstrate excellent Technical Economic Modelling capabilities and have a strong Academics background culminating in at least a Level 9 Masters within an Economic or Finance discipline.
This is an exceptional opportunity in a highly competitive market where you will genuinely add to the day to day impact assessment of the current Covid-19 crisis and assist in shaping economic policy thereafter.
