The EMEA VAT Manager will be responsible for:

• The accurate preparation and timely submission of UK VAT returns, EC Listings, Intrastat filings, and other supplementary declarations.
• Conducting risk assessments for indirect tax processes and identify areas to improve
• Provide guidance to the businesses on VAT related inquiries.
• Provide review of group VAT compliance including returns, ECSL, INTRASTAT etc.
• Assist in relationship management with HMRC and other statutory bodies on VAT related matters.
• Assume responsibility for the UK transaction tax reporting and provide guidance to the other EMEA legal entities.
• Ensure compliance with VAT regulations across the region.
• Participate in projects and assist in other areas as needed.

The successful candidate will be qualified or have started their career with HMRC, have strong VAT experience and knowledge coupled with strong Excel skills (Macros, Lookups, Pivot Tables etc). You will have excellent reporting and analytical skills, and experience with SAP and Vertex is desirable. From a technical perspective you will have knowledge of Place of Supply rules, Tax points, Imports/exports, and VAT impliaction on cross border transactions.
