Rather than being considered a necessary support function, Technology is an integral part of the strategy of the Firm and this is reflected both by the level of Tech investment and how Technology initiatives are discussed at the most senior level..

We have made an ongoing commitment to technological investment to help us deliver additional value to our clients, and our Technology Department is integral to this.

This role sits within the Operations & Security team and reports directly in to the EUC Manager.

Responsibilities/Duties

· Responsible for building and managing next generation Desktop and Remote Access systems based on Windows 10 , Office 365, Azure and Server 2016.

· Responsible for End user software technology platforms, including operating systems, applications, remote access and supporting infrastructure.

· Define, architect, engineer and build software packaging and distribution services.

· Taking lead role in the implementation of Windows 10 / Office 365 and Azure services.

· Taking lead role in designing end user solutions and projects.

· Liaise with internal/external customers to understand and resolve technical issues as quickly as possible

· Ensure that all new projects have full maintenance, monitoring and support procedures before they go live.

Skills/Experience

Essential

· Excellent understanding of Microsoft System Centre "SCCM"

· Experience with software packaging and distribution platforms

· Ability to think logically, analyse situations and solve technical problems

· Decisive, proactive and takes initiative

Desirable

· Excellent understanding of Microsoft App-V and Ivanti AppSense

· Experience with VMWare and Horizon (or Citrix)

· Experience in desktop image configuration, automation, and management

· Experience in software portfolio management and product life cycle management

· Excellent understanding of Active Directory and Group Policies

· Software licensing and software asset management experience

· Experience with Windows Server 2008 / 2012

· Experience in scripting, packaging, and testing software installations (VBScript, T-SQL, PowerShell, InstallShield/Wise)

· Experience in complex project implementation

· Experience in taking ownership of technology projects
