This is a newly-created role working for a fast paced, dynamic business in the European HQ.

Reporting to the Tax Director you will provide tax risk management support for the European region. You will also provide support for ad hoc projects and ensure that any reoganisations are carried out in a tax compliant and efficient manner.

Duties will include a mixture of Transfer Pricing Compliance, global tax projects and ad hoc tax projects.

TP will account for approximately 50% of the role and the principle aim will be to provide advice and project management to drive through Transfer Pricing compliance, including documentation. This will include:
· Reviewing and documenting existing arrangements through understanding the business and finance departments' ways of working.
· Shaping reorganisations and new business development to be carried out in a tax compliant and efficient manner.
· Project managing tax aspects of value chain integrations on external acquisitions
· Advising subsidiaries on how to minimise transfer pricing and permanent establishment risk.
· Management of tax risk within the current BEPS environment.

Global tax projects (which amounts to approx 25% of the role) will include:
· Analysing and evaluating tax opportunities and initiatives to reduce tax risk.
· Prioritising the roll out of initiatives across Europe with limited budget resource.
· Working closely with subsidiary companies, and managing external tax advisors on projects, including budgets.

Other tax projects and tax compliance issues (the remaining 25%) may include:
· Supporting subsidiaries with cross-border tax audits
· Supporting ad hoc projects (e.g. share transfers, business transfers, capital injections) and year end closing.
· Collaborate with the UK Tax Supervisor regarding Corporate Tax issues, CFC, VAT, Short Term Business Visitor ("STBV") issues - including Senior Accounting Officer and IT process reviews.
· Share significant changes in taxation across Europe impacting businesses.

You will be qualified ( ACA/ACCA/CTA ) with a grounding in UK corporate tax issues with a, latterly, working knowledge of EU/international tax and Transfer Pricing. Exposure to Europe specifically would extremely helpful. You must be self motivated, keen, enthusiastic and looking for a role where you have scope to plan your own workload and research areas - to make this role truly your own. You will have the skills to move between high level principles with a keen eye for detail. Some European travel will be required.
