Role: Finance Analyst l Location: Stockport l Salary: Up to £55k l Hybrid: 3 days in the office

An exciting opportunity has become available for an ambitious first time mover with an audit background to join the team in a commercial role.

Your responsibilities will include assisting in the preparation and analysis of monthly Management Accounts, as well as in the budgeting, forecasting and business partnering function.

The successful candidate will perform a vital role in ensuring the continued integrity of the Group financial statements and the excellent service the finance team provides to the shareholders and the wider business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts, including balance sheet posting of prepayments, accruals and fixed assets for group subsidiaries
  • Assisting the Lead Management Accountant with the consolidation of the group accounts
  • Assisting the Lead Management Accountant with external audit and helping to enhance the Corporate Governance in the Finance department
  • Assisting with annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
  • Finance Business Partnering - providing analysis to help key stakeholders understand their numbers and support them with any finance issues
  • Assisting with VAT Returns/Submission and reconciliations and Corporation Tax reporting

Key Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate will be from an Audit background with excellent technical accounting knowledge
  • ACA/ ACCA Qualified
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders
