Mark Sattin Executive Search is working with a PE-Backed Tech enabled Business. Having grown rapidly and with ambitious goals for further international expansion in the near future, the business is now seeking for a best-in-class Finance Director to serve as a strategic partner within the senior leadership team. The appointed individual will assume responsibility for financial matters and play a pivotal role in preparing the finance function for future scaling. This opportunity initially entails a part time commitment of 2-3 days per week, with the potential to transition into a full-time role in the future.

The Finance Director will oversee the daily financial operations of the business, while also playing a pivotal role in driving business growth through thorough KPI analysis, budgeting, and reporting. Serving as a strategic business partner, you will provide ongoing commercial, financial, and operational guidance at the board level. As Finance Director you will be responsible for generating monthly management accounts, crafting comprehensive revenue forecasts, and managing the annual budget process, leveraging key input from stakeholders to propel the business forward in its next stage of development. Additionally, you will be spearheading and reviewing an outsourced finance function as well as implementing robust financial controls to commercialise the business.

The ideal Finance Director candidate must have:

  • A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/ACMA).
  • Proven experience as a Finance Director or Financial controller looking to step up into a number 1 role in a PE-backed high-growth business, in the Tech Enabled sector.
  • Be a capable communicator and be able to present to both investors and shareholders.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Experience of operating in a business with an outsourced Finance Function
  • A high level of motivation, a "can do" attitude and a willingness to be involved at all levels.
