The details
Our client in the sports media industry located in Central London is looking for a Finance Manager to join their team as their first hire in Finance.
The role will focus on a broad range of finance and accounting responsibilities including monthly management accounts as well as more commercial and analytical tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Ownership of the monthly management accounts and reporting
- P&Ls, margins, and variance analysis
- Business partnering with other departments to support on business decisions and growth.
- Cash flow management and forecasting
- Managing the budget and forecasting processes.
- Bank and balance sheet reconciliation
- Accruals, prepayments, and depreciation journals
- VAT returns
- Liaising and working with external accountants (on the statutory accounts) and outsourced payroll team
- Ownership of accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Additional ad-hoc reporting and analysis to support the leadership team and wider business.
The ideal candidate will be fully qualified or finalist (ACCA or CIMA) and be confident taking full control of the finance and accounting function with relevant experience in e-commerce, fashion, retail or related industry. Ability to work independently as well as strong verbal and written communication skills will be necessary. Strong systems experience including Excel and Xero is also preferable.
