Financial Accountant - Leeds | Hybrid | 6-12 Month Contract

I'm working with a growing organisation in Leeds to recruit a Financial Accountant on a 6-12 month contract. This role sits within a dynamic finance team and will play a key part in delivering high‑quality accounting processes, strengthening controls, and improving management reporting across the business.

Key Responsibilities

* Ownership of month‑end and year‑end processes
* Management reporting and balance sheet reconciliations
* Preparation of VAT returns and statutory financial statements
* Providing support during internal and external audits
* Posting routine monthly journals
* Billing of shared costs and supporting payment authorisation
* Producing regular financial reports for key stakeholders
* Supporting process improvements and strengthening financial controls
* Contributing to systems enhancements and cross‑functional project work

We're looking for an ambitious and proactive individual who can communicate clearly, build strong relationships, and work confidently with stakeholders at all levels. You'll ideally be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (or part‑qualified) with solid technical accounting skills, strong analytical ability, and experience working within a similar finance role.
