Start your job searchMarks Sattin are currently working with a Mansfield based Engineering company to assist in the recrutiment of a Financial Accountant. This is a newly created role and the client are looking for somebody who wants a rounded Accountancy opportunity, however, you must have technical accounting experience.
This will be a varied position, working as part of the financial reporting team with the role covering all aspects of financial reporting and with a rigorous focus on cost control. Responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of the monthly consolidated results including p&l, balance sheet and cash flow
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliation
- Preparation of the monthly finance pack
- Conducting monthly cost reviews with the Groups operating divisions and central functions
- Assisting with cash reporting and forecasting
- Preparation of the annual financial statements and interim results under IFRS
- Management of several technical accounting areas including; lease accounting, expected loss provisioning, investment properties and intangible assets
- Working with the finance team and audit team to deliver the year end audit and interim review
Skills;
- A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with a range of stakeholders
- A self-motivated individual who works well in a team and alone
- Highly organised with a structured approach to delivery of work
- A willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Experience of financial accounting and IFRS
