Start your job searchWe are currently working with a distinguished global business services group that is a leading player in their field and has grown by acquisition in recent years. Due to this growth and their resilience through the pandemic, there now exists an opportunity for a qualified accountant to join the financial reporting team and help with statutory accounting requirements for the European region.
Reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager, you will be responsible for the statutory accounting and tax reporting for the European subsidiaries across the division, including UK statutory accounts. In addition, you will manage the external audit process and provide technical accounting guidance and ad hoc project support where required. The role will also work closely with other areas of finance and the wider business and so commercial business acumen and strong communication skills will be key.
You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA) and your background will demonstrate strong accounting and technical expertise, likely from the chartered environment. You will have knowledge of SOX, experience of preparing statutory accounts and ideally providing guidance in relation to US / European GAAPs. You will have excellent interpersonal skills to partner across the business and also manage and lead project tasks. This position could offer an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant now considering a move into industry and out of practice.
