Start your job searchA large, further education college - recognised as a great place to work - is seeking a Financial Accountant.
Role and responsibilities:
- Produce financial information for stakeholders and communicate effectively
- Contribute to the annual budgeting process and production of statutory financial statements
- Laise with auditors to assist with the preparation of the statutory financial statements
- Line management of the Capital Accountant
- Assist with ad-hoc projects and work closely with the Director of Finance and the wider team to forecast the year-end
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Produce monthly Management Accounts
- Forecast, compile VAT returns and capital funding claims
This role will suit a proactive individual with previous accounting experience, who is part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA/AAT). The ideal candidate will have excellent initiative and communication skills - ideally with further education experience.
