Marks Sattin are currently recruiting for a well-established manufacturing business in their search for a Financial Controller to work out of their office based just outside Wigan.
The successful candidate will need to be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with a strong academic background. Strong technical accounting skills are absolutely essential and any experience of working within manufacturing would be a distinct advantage. Exposure to stock is essential and a good knowledge of VAT will also be crucial. The ability to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders is essential and you will need to be adept at communicating with non-finance personnel. Key duties for the Financial Controller role will involve:
- Responsibility for month-end close
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Cashflow management
- Oversee statutory accounts production
- Treasury management and responsibility for VAT calculations
- Review of working capital
- Stock analysis
- Lead in the development and improvement of processes, controls and systems
- Management of small finance team
- Project work
Salary for the role is anywhere between £63,000 and £72,000 + benefits.
