A £300 million, private equity backed business are hiring for an ACA qualified Accountant to help drive the business forward by providing high quality reporting for the business.
The business rewards hard work and encourages ambition. They set motivating targets and goals to ensure they achieve the highest standards possible as a business.
Key responsibilities
To build strong relationships with senior stakeholders in the business to continue to develop reporting to ensure that it provides insight.
Responsible for internal and external reporting which includes:
- Board packs
- Group management accounts
- Reports to lender group
- Shareholder reporting
- Group annual report and subsidiary financial statements
The role also includes covering technical areas of accounting for example:
- Consolidation
- Lease accounting (IFRS 16)
- Revenue recognition (IFRS 15)
- Share based payments
- Acquisition accounting
Other responsibilities include:
- Strengthening control framework
- Payments
- Other projects
Key working relationships include, CFO, Group FD, Divisional Senior Finance Managers, Commercial Directors, Group Tax Manager, and Management Accountant.
Role requirements
- A qualified ACA Accountant - can still be in practice or have already moved into industry
- Robust technical knowledge of IFRS is essential
- Good excel and PowerPoint skills (need to be at an advanced level)
- A proactive approach to all areas of work - a self-starter
