Forensic Accountant

Job Type: Permanent

Location: Dublin

My client, a boutique consultancy firm in Ireland, have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and experienced forensic accountant to join their highly successful and growing Forensic Investigation Services unit.

The successful candidate will be joining a rapidly growing area of the firm, and will be motivated by working in a challenging and rewarding workplace, in an innovative and progressive environment.

Responsibilities:

Due to the nature of this role you will work with a broad range of teams across the business, however, they type of work you will focus on is:

  • Forensically analysing financial and other information/evidence
  • Investigating alleged misconduct through gathering evidence and liaising with third parties as necessary
  • Managing a portfolio of cases
  • Drafting written reports detailing analysis undertaken, conclusions, proposals and recommendations
  • Preparing case files and other appropriate materials in contemplation of legal proceedings
  • Contributing to/leading the ongoing development and improvement of risk assessment and analysis methodologies
  • Financial and commercial responsibility for your client portfolio performance
  • Any other duties which may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements and Desirables:

  • Qualified ACA/ACCA accountant
  • Experience in forensic accounting
  • Knowledge of the Irish legal system desirable

As this is a client facing role there will be a requirement to travel to client premises therefore a full, clean driver's license is also desirable.
