Marks Sattin are delighted to be partnering with an entrepreneurial group of companies operating in the retail and leisure sector. This is the ideal career move for a practice trained accountant looking to make their first move into industry. You will work working closely with an experienced ACA qualified Finance Director. The role encompasses working with the finance team to deliver monthly management accounts, management information and performance analysis whilst supporting the Board of Directors to make informed business decisions to maximise growth opportunities.

The key accountabilities are:

  • Monthly management accounts production
  • Produce monthly P&L, balance sheet and working papers
  • Business partner relevant stakeholders at different locations
  • Produce statutory accounts and be the point of contact for the external auditors
  • Producing and filing quarterly VAT returns
  • When up to speed with your own duties coach and develop a team of AAT and PQ accounts
  • Using an range of accounting software including Xero

We are looking for:

  • Positive attitude
  • ACCA / ACA finalist/ qualified
  • The ability to work well under pressure both independently and in a team
  • Achieve agreed outcomes without supervision
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Organised with the ability to multi-task and prioritise workload effectively
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work in a fast-paced environment
