An Interesting SME business in Leeds Centre are looking to hire a new Group Accountant to report into their Group Financial Controller. The role is designed to support the Group FC with the day to day finance duties at group level.

Duties include:

• Production of management accounts in accordance with month-end process for multiple group entities
• Production and posting of month-end journals
• Production of balance sheet reconciliations
• Maintenance of asset registers
• Processing of payroll
• Completion of tax and statutory returns (VAT, PAYE, Companies House etc.)
• Contribute to maintenance and improvement of systems, processes and internal controls
• Analysis of sales, cost and KPI performance, as required
• Assistance with year-end auditor queries

Experience required:

• Qualified accountant with +3 years post qualified experience (CIMA, ACA, ACCA. (QBE will also be considered)
• Previous experience in a similar role is essential - ideally within an SME environment
• Strong computer skills (excellent Excel skills are essential)
• Experience with MS Dynamics (preferential, but not essential)
• Excellent attention to detail
• Highly numerate
• Strong time management skills, with ability to plan and prioritise work
• Strong communication skills
