Start your job searchHead of Finance to be the number 2 to the CFO for an initial 6 months contract, you must be qualified working for a charity business.
Team: 7 Direct Reports & 21 Indirect
You will be responsible finance team and will lead all external financial reporting and internal financial planning & performance processes as well as the delivery of financial insights to all internal stakeholders.
Responsibility for engaging the organisation with financial information, both through their leadership and the business partnering community they are responsible for.
This role will play an important and highly visible role influencing the executive team and supporting the regional operations with the financial insights needed.
Areas of impact:
The role has overall responsibility for finance including:
- Ensuring that the financial accounts and its subsidiaries are maintained in accordance with the Charity SORP and relevant accounting standards. Responsible overseeing fund accounting, investment accounting, the integrity of the balance sheet cash flow monitoring and forecasting and provision of technical advice to all levels in the organisation in respect of finance, taxation, and accounting.
- Accountable for the accurate and timely provision of financial information and insight to the organisations stakeholders, as well as the organisations financial planning processes, which include its budget setting processes, delegated financial, and other agreed sustainability metrics. The role will ensure all analysts and business partners are adequately staffed and skilled.
This is a senior post with considerable responsibility for engaging the organisation with financial information, both through their leadership and the business partnering and analyst community they are responsible for. The role holder will be required to work in a matrix structure and be expected to build relationships with the full executive team.
Nature of impact:
The role holder will be requested to deputise for the CFO in boards such as the Board of Trustees and Strategic Monitoring Group and will be the key contact for Internal & External Auditors.
Responsible for developing the business partnering team, developing them to work at a strategic level within the business supported by the management accounting team.
