Role - Head of Finance Location - Wigan Salary - Between £75,000 and £90,000 + benefits

Marks Sattin are currently recruiting for a fast-growing pharmaceutical business in their search for a Head of Finance to work out of their office based just outside Wigan.

The successful candidate will need to be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with a strong academic background. Strong technical accounting skills are absolutely essential and any experience of working within manufacturing or retail would be a distinct advantage. Exposure to international businesses will be essential and a good knowledge of VAT will also be crucial. A background in integrating acquisitions would also be preferable. Key duties for the Head of Finance role will involve:

  • Responsibility for month-end close
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Cashflow management
  • Oversee statutory accounts production
  • Treasury management and responsibility for VAT calculations
  • Review of working capital
  • Stock analysis
  • Lead in the development and improvement of processes, controls and systems
  • Look to build a finance team
  • Integration of acquisitions
  • Project work

Salary for the role is anywhere between £75,000 and £90,000 + benefits.
