Head of Regulatory Legal

100% Remote

£110,000- £130,000 p/a

We are excited to be working with a pioneering Payments Company who are looking to hire a Head of Regulatory Legal. Our client simplifies the payment process by using Web3 rails to enable billions of users to make international payments globally. Having only been founded in 2022, they are growing rapidly with no sign of stopping!

They offer fiat-to crypto onramp and offramp solutions with an easy user experience and local payment methods that provides fantastic conversion rates at low processing fees. Their exceptional team of Crypto, Payment's professionals and Tech Gurus provide both online and offline merchants with crypto products.

The role is a fully remote role. As part of the role, the successful candidate will be reporting into the C-Suite and shape the company's regulatory strategy. You will not be a traditional legal counsel, as part of this role you will be a key player in ensuring all regulatory goals come to fruition. This is an extremely exciting role as you will be the main point of contact for internal stakeholders for all legal matters which will provide you with real exposure into the running of the company.

The responsibilities of the successful candidate include but are not limited to:

  • Growing the internal legal function by being an advisor to the business on all legal matters through providing commercially minded legal advice.
  • Providing strategic regulatory advice that ensures the company is compliant with current regulations and can continue their growth.
  • Continue the growth of acquiring essential licenses, starting with a crucial EU License and working on the geographical expansion.
  • Overseeing the companies' operations in multiple countries through collaborating with licenced partners in order to establish a presence as the market leader

The successful candidate is:

  • A Qualified Solicitor, with experience Head of Legal or General Counsel with Regulatory experience
  • Experienced within the Payments/Fintech space
  • Able to provide critical advice to ensure that the company is compliant with relevant regulations
  • Experienced in M & A and Corporate Finance
