This is an exciting opportunity to join this leading financial services organisation on a long term project in their Financial Reporting Team.
In the role, you will be responsible for:
- Ownership and delivery of timely and insightful outputs to internal and external stakeholders
- High quality reporting with supporting analysis to identify underlying drivers and offer business insight
- Operation and enhancement of financial and operational controls with the ultimate aim of safeguarding both customer and shareholder interests
- Continuous focus on process optimisation, simplicity and standardisation
- Leading investigations within reporting and acting as a key resource on projects
- Influencing partners and handling key relationships across Finance.
Skills and experience
- Qualified accountant with relevant post qualification experience
- Sound knowledge of finance reporting processes and architecture
- Excellent analytical skills and pro-active drive to identify and investigate variances
- Experience in a financial reporting role within financial services would be advantageous
- Experience of working to tight deadlines in a demanding environment
- Good leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with other areas of the business
- Knowledge of IFRS, Solvency II and experience of preparing statutory accounts would also be beneficial.
