Provide first-line functional and technical IT support for a warehouse IT system and associated end-user technologies. You'll diagnose issues, restore service quickly, escalate when needed, and ensure incidents are logged and followed through to resolution. Training will be provided on the warehouse application.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1st line support to warehouse users (floor and office) via phone, ticketing system and in-person support.
• Deliver functional support for the warehouse IT system (user guidance, basic configuration/support tasks) - training provided.
• Perform triage, troubleshooting and resolution of day-to-day IT incidents (hardware, applications, access, connectivity).
• Carry out basic Linux administration/support activities (e.g., checking services, logs, permissions, connectivity, simple scripts if applicable).
• Support and troubleshoot issues involving Oracle / SQL (e.g., basic queries for validation, checking data issues, liaising with DB/admin teams).
• Log, prioritise and manage incidents/requests in line with SLAs; maintain clear updates to users and stakeholders.
• Escalate complex issues to 2nd/3rd line teams or vendors with well-documented diagnostics and impact.
• Contribute to problem management by identifying recurring issues and suggesting fixes/workarounds.
• Support shift operations, including handovers between shifts and maintaining operational continuity.

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience in a 1st line / service desk / onsite support role (or equivalent customer-facing IT support).
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting mindset; able to work calmly under pressure.
• Working knowledge of Windows/Microsoft end-user environments (desktop support, basic M365/AD exposure helpful).
• Practical Linux skills (basic command line, service/log checks, networking basics).
• Exposure to Oracle and/or SQL (comfortable running basic queries, understanding common database-related faults).
• Strong communication skills with non-technical users in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
