IT Governance Manager

Overview

A great opportunity to work for a growing, global top 10 professional services firm in their Uxbridge office.

The IT Governance Manager will be responsible for:
* The development and maintenance the IT Governance Framework including development of IT policies, procedures and processes
* Managing Compliance for the IT Outsourcing operation
* Managing the cost budget and monthly financial forecast for IT Outsourcing
* Acting as part of the IT Outsourcing management team to engage with the wider business
You will work as part of a small team, provide leadership and deliver compliance support to the IT Outsourcing team. You will be expected to travel to other sites in the UK and occasionally overseas as appropriate.

Responsibilities

  • To develop, implement and continuously improve a structured IT Governance framework including development, implementation and maintenance of IT Policies, Procedures and Processes
    * To ensure compliance with the IT Governance framework, IT Policies, Procedures and Processes
    * To manage internal and external audits of IT
    * Audit management support and monitoring improvement actions, coordinating projects concerning security, risk management, internal auditing and compliance
    * To create the annual IT outsourcing cost budget
    * To ensure the IT management team has access to accurate financial reports on the current status of operating activities
    * To ensure that all members of the IT outsourcing team have the guidance required to deliver IT service to clients
    * Management of compliance to laws and regulations (including GDPR) and best practice as set out by, for example ITIL and ISAE 3402,
    * Management of IT Enterprise Risks
    * To identify and promote IT service improvement opportunities
    * To provide process guidance to others in IT Outsourcing to ensure a consistency and commonality of use of IT process
    * To support the development of the IT Outsourcing technical strategy
    * To contribute to IT innovation development and delivery
    * To be responsible for the collation, tracking, escalation and reporting of departmental formal controls, such as Operational Risks, Exceptions Register, Supplier Management framework, Operational Risk Assessment process, etc

Requirements

Degree Educated in technology or business related subject
* Experience in IT applications and processes
* Excellent verbal and written communications skills
* Knowledge of audit processes
* Committed and flexible approach to work
* Good customer-facing skills with the ability to clearly convey technical issues to non-technical people
* Team leadership and management experience
* Project coordination experience
* Self Confidence and Determination
* Adaptability and Positive Outlook
* A team player, able to share and gain knowledge from other team members
* An ability to build good relationships with suppliers, management at all levels, and IT teams
* Experience of budget management
