Marks Sattin are currently working with a Harrogate based manufacturer to assist in the recruitment of an IT Support Engineer. You will work alongside other members of the IT Team the IT Support Engineer will review open support tickets and work towards resolving them within the agreed SLA.

The IT Support engineer should be proactive in their approach, always considering the needs of the end user and above all be able to adapt to changing demands. You will be able to diagnose technical support issues ranging from simple desktop problems through to network and server related issues.

This is a varied role and you will be exposed to several different technologies:

  • Office 365
  • Azure & Cloud technologies
  • Firewalls
  • Skype/Teams/Zoom
  • SharePoint
  • Active Directory
  • Group Policies
  • Networking
  • Hyper-V
  • VoIP
  • Windows Server 2016 Standard and Datacentre
  • Windows 10
  • MDM/MAM solutions
  • DNS, DHCP, Networking, Wireless solutions

Responsibilities;

  • Resolving support tickets within agreed SLAs.
  • Trainign of technologies to end users.
  • Assist in purchasing, configuration and deployment of IT equipment.
  • Work with Head of IT on continued development of IT strategy.
  • Deploy and administer new IT policies.

Skills;

  • 2 years' experience in a support role (minimum)
  • Experience in triaging level 1 & 2 support incidents.
  • Understanding of ITL processes.
  • Excellent customer service skills - a willingness to own the problem and go the extra mile for end users.
