IT Trainer

A global Professional Services firm is currently recruiting for an IT Trainer to join on a permanent basis located at their Central London office. The IT Trainer will be responsible for creating and delivering various IT learning solutions on a variety of topics.

The IT Trainer forms part of the IT Change and Communications Team within the IT department and reports into the IT Training Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver IT learning initiatives to support the rollout of IT projects using a blended learning approach (via face to face, Webinars, Skype, e-Learning)
  • Manage the training approach for assigned projects from design through to implementation, including up-skilling additional IT trainers where needed to support a rollout
  • Work collaboratively with the immediate team to assist other members with BAU and other ad-hoc training requirements as and when needed
  • Create engaging courseware and digital learning content which are in line with department standards (using Camtasia, Adobe Articulate, SnagIT and Publisher) ensuring a truly blended learning approach for the business
  • Deliver virtual training to colleagues using remote tools such as Skype for Business, Teams or other market tools
  • Assist the IT Training Manager to promote IT learning solutions and other IT services to our internal clients using a variety of communications channels including Intranet and Yammer
  • Encourage knowledge sharing and empower staff to apply what they have learnt and resolve their own queries (Yammer posts, Top Tips, Intranet articles etc)

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Experienced IT Trainer within a large organisation and with an excellent understanding of training methodologies and learning approaches
  • Experience with designing and delivering learning solutions to companies who have multiple offices
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the following is preferred:
  • Office 2016 suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Office 365, including One Drive and One Note
  • Microsoft Teams

Knowledge of the following is desirable but not essential:

  • iManage or similar Document Management systems
  • InTapp or similar Time Recording systems
  • ERP systems (e.g. Workday)

Ability to create e-learning and on-line learning videos using tools such as:

  • Adobe Articulate
  • Adobe Captivate
  • Camtasia
  • TechSmith SnagIT Editor 2018
  • Microsoft Publisher

Qualifications - desirable not essential:

  • COLF - Certified Online Learning Facilitator
  • TAP - Trainer Assessment Programme
  • Train the Trainer
  • Microsoft Office
