ICT Unit Manager - Lead Business Analyst

A leading global energy provider is seeking an "ICT Unit Manager" to join its Central London offices. The role is in essence a Lead Business Analyst position, with line management for around 5 or 6 BA's involved in all parts of the application lifecycle (analysis, design, testing, post go live support and maintenance) within a Commodity Trading and Risk Management environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate a team of business analysts, providing oversight of all the activities the team are involved in
  • Make sure assigned activities are delivered to timeline, required quality and desired outcomes
  • Provide continuous input to the company's program plan of ICT implementations, in collaboration with the Program Manager
  • Perform regular appraisal of the team member's performance and devise strategies to help with improvement
  • Participate in projects and application maintenance activities, where opportunity and need arises
  • Ensure regulatory requirements are maintained

  • Coach and mentor the members of the team
  • Work alongside other ICT units to achieve company and ICT objectives
  • Link between the company Business Functions and the Information & Communication Technology Department
  • Link between external ICT partners and the ICT Department
  • Establish positive relationships with key stakeholders in the company
  • Understanding the business needs and acting as an advisor to define and deliver sustainable solutions
  • Advise on best practices for delivering ICT solutions
  • Communicate and mitigate risks in collaboration with the ICT team management
  • Keep up with trends in the constantly evolving information technology industry

Requirements

  • University degree with stress on Informatics, or equally by experience
  • At least 3 years' experience in leading teams
  • Understanding of the energy sector and trading markets
  • Experience in delivering ETRM solutions
