Start your job searchMarks Sattin are delighted to be assisting with the recruitment of a new Finance Team for this exciting online retail brand who are relocating operations to Manchester.
To begin with, they are looking to appoint a Qualified (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) Accountant as their Management Accountant/Finance Manager who will be responsible for a range of accounting duties including full month end management accounts production with commentary, assisting the Head of Finance with creation/management of budgets and forecasts, acting as lead point of contact for the annual auditors and producing statutory accounts at year end. You will also have responsibility for managing an Assistant Accountant and have the opportunity to become heavily involved in ad hoc projects affecting the finance team including the implementation of a new ERP over the next 12 months (Navision).
Longer term, as the Finance team in Manchester becomes more established, there will be the opportunity to develop this role further in a commercial direction and help to introduce a solid culture of business partnering.
Previous experience in retail/distribution or manufacturing would be useful but not essential however you must have a solid background in management and/or financial accounting and be adaptable, commercially minded and have strong stakeholder management experience, including the ability to negotiate with and influence non financial stakeholders.
