Management Accountant

Our client in the transport and logistics sector is looking for a new Management Accountant to join their growing team in London. Reporting into the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis, this is a broad position covering financial reporting and commercial responsibilities with an emphasis on strong business partnering skills.

Key responsibilities

• Preparation of timely and accurate management accounts, complete with succinct variance analysis for senior review
• Assisting the Head of FP&A with annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
• Business partnering with operational teams including budget holders and decision makers to assist with delivery
• Assist management teams with high quality financial reporting, maintaining financial control and contributing to strategic decision making
• Balance sheet reconciliations for key control accounts
• Processing of accruals and prepayments
• Additional ad hoc reporting and analytical responsibilities

The role is perfect for a newly qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or part qualified with strong experience in financial reporting and an analytical mindset. The role will require someone with a commercial and consultative background to really assist with operational delivery. Strong systems experience including excel will be needed to ensure accurate reporting is upheld.
