Start your job searchReally excited to be recruiting for a well established client in Skipton. They require a management accountant to join thier growing finance function.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Completing monthly financial reporting and reconciliation
- Reporting on sales, profitability, working capital, variances and other operational performance indicators
- Reconciling balance sheets, customer, vendor and intercompany accounts Reporting to HMRC on tax and VAT But in addition (and what makes this role so special) is that we also want you to be actively involved in the business itself, analysing and interpreting the financial data to provide insightful commentary and actionable recommendations to the functional business leaders.
You will be reporting to the Group Financial Controller who will support and help you with this development.
This will be an important step as the client is keen to grow their finance function and become proactive strategic business partners on whom the whole business relies and depends on.
My client is looking for someone who is part-qualified to CIMA Diploma In Management Accounting (CIMA DIP MA) award level (or equivalent) and has a good first degree.
Ideally you will have previous experience in consumer goods, manufacturing or other relevant industry or sector.
Your excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex and technical concepts to non-finance stakeholders will set you apart from the crowd, as will an analytical and problem-solving mindset.
The client would also expect you to have excellent attention to detail and an ability to work under time pressure and strict deadlines .
